Santa Rosa, CA —The Mahoney Library Gallery at SRJC Petaluma proudly presents the “Faces of SRJC” exhibit.
Through 75 photographs, the exhibit will highlight the unique identities, voices, and stories of the SRJC community. Photographers of the exhibit, which includes current and former SRJC students, faculty and staff will be in attendance at the exhibit opening. The event is open to the community and former SRJC students are encouraged to attend. Admission is free. Parking permits are required and available on campus lots.
In March of 2017, an open photography call was sent out to the SRJC community. Current and former students and employees were asked to submit photos that represented who they were and what they valued. The categories for submission included a variety of themes such as memory, identity, family and travel. Summaries of the photographs were also submitted to give a small window into the importance of each photo. The Gallery received an overwhelming volume of photographs in return. Each photo came with captivating stories depicting humor, spirit, loss, and courage.
